“Something that simple can’t be THAT effective!”
That’s a statement a lot of my clients make whenever we do a quick 5 minute Meditation / Grounding / Decompression exercise before our sessions. What this does is give ourselves a break from the craziness of the day, releasing all our overwhelm, our burnout and negative energies that may have accumulated and then we become more focused. We get the clarity we need to proceed mindfully and with purpose.
That is one part of my morning routine. And yes, it is surprising to think that something as simple as 5 minutes of purposeful breathing can do wonders for the rest of our days.
Our mind rejects it because the problems we are facing are so complex so it’s natural to think that the solution should also be just as complex.
But it’s time to reshape that thinking because that’s the type of thought that leads us to forego our morning routines!
These morning routines or rituals are essential to make us productive and successful throughout the day.
So get back to basics and start doing the things you normally do to be the highest and best version of yourself all the time.
