How to Create Balance in Your Life

This year could be the riskiest year for us.

This is the year that we could lose our Sense of Self.

It’s not my doom-and-gloom prediction but it’s been an ever-present reality for a lot of us.

2022 couldn’t have gotten off to a more unideal start – who can forget the Omicron wave that crippled us at the onset of January.

Then in February when things were moving away from that tiresome virus, a lot of us were hit by calamities (extreme rains and flooding in my case).

AND then with March rolling along, we suddenly have the war in Ukraine!

And this crisis has brought on a multitude of negativity for us, rising petroleum prices and the ever-increasing cost of basic goods and services.

IT’S CRAZY to say the least. And that’s dangerous because how we react to this determines how well we retain or lose our sense of self.

So what are the symptoms of losing your sense of self?

  1. We stop doing the things that are important to us
  2. We get frustrated with the turbulence around things
  3. We neglect our mental, physical, emotional, spiritual (religious and non-religious) health

So what do we do?

Despite everything that’s happening, it’s still just March and there is more than enough time to right the ship and bring back balance in our lives.

So here is what I need you to do – STOP then ask yourselves these questions:

  1. What is my intention for this year? What is it that I want to get out of in 2022?
  2. What do I need to do to manage myself?
  3. What are the small things that I can do that I can give 100% commitment to?

Now if you can answer these questions and have a clear understanding of where you are and where you are headed, you are good and just keep at it!

BUT if you are really struggling, where everything is a blur and find little clarity on everything and you are just in a world of overwhelm, it’s high time to accept that reality and accept that you need help.

Now I’m always free to have a chat and provide you the support you need to get that clarity and understanding for yourself. But either way, acknowledgment is key in this situation.
